Job Summary
The ERP Analyst serves as the bridge between our IT team and our accounting team, ensuring the seamless integration and optimal functionality of our ERP system (Rootstock) with our accounting system (Intacct). This role exists to support and enhance accounting-related ERP processes by working cross-functionally to drive process improvements and system efficiencies. The primary goals are to ensure accurate financial reporting, reduce manual accounting processes, and continuously improve and scale our ERP and accounting systems.
As a Kiva ERP Analyst, you will…
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT and accounting and facilitate effective communication.
- Resolve discrepancies between Rootstock and Intacct data and perform root cause analysis to prevent those discrepancies from reoccurring
- Identify areas for continuous improvement between Rootstock and Intacct functionality, data accuracy, and system use
- Optimize our accounting period close process across multiple markets by identifying Rootstock improvements to reduce manual entries
- Streamline our current accounts payable process for multiple legal entities (specifically our PO-AP match process)
- Reduce dependency on spreadsheets and improve data accessibility through building and maintaining reports and dashboards within Rootstock and our BI tool (Sigma Analytics)
- Own accounting-related ERP configuration, data, and integration between Rootstock and Intacct.
- Be the subject matter expert (SME) in how current accounting data is collected/created in Rootstock and how that data flows to Intacct
- Leading cross-functional initiatives to streamline and optimize Rootstock functionality and processes to reduce manual entries in Intacct
- Conducting regular reviews of Rootstock to resolve discrepancies as proactively as possible (including but not limited to: account mapping, standard costs, significant variances, etc..)
- Writing SOPs to ensure best practices are followed through in Rootstock
What we’re looking for…
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field OR 4+ years of experience working in one of these areas
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in ERP and financial systems projects, with a strong emphasis on implementation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex financial requirements into functional system design
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new tools, technologies, and processes independently
- Experience managing and reconciling General Ledger Accounts
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Proven ability to translate complex financial requirements into functional system designs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with a history of working cross-functionally to design, build, and implement new business procedures and system enhancements
- Experience working in an ERP or financial system, particularly Rootstock and/or Sage Intacct preferred.
- Experience working in Salesforce as an Architect, Consultant, and/or Administrator preferred
- Experience working as a business systems analyst preferred
