Regional Sales Lead- US/CAD
Full-time, Remote with Travel (Must be based in the USA)
Our client is a European-based company renowned for their high-quality horticultural LED lighting solutions, designed and manufactured in Europe.
They are expanding their operations into North America (USA & Canada) to bring their trusted LED solutions to a broader audience.
They are seeking an experienced and self-motivated B2B sales leader to spearhead sales growth and market expansion efforts across the USA and Canada. This role is pivotal in driving client acquisition, establishing strategic partnerships, and ensuring client satisfaction within the horticultural and agricultural sectors.
MUST be able to frequently travel for conferences and client meetings, including domestic and international travel.
MUST have previous experience selling lighting solutions to the Cannabis industry with an established domestic network and proven sales successes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is a self-starter to help open up a new market and bring a leading, and innovative, European Brand and Product to the global cannabis market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Account Management
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy targeting the USA and Canadian cannabis markets.
- Manage and maintain customer relationships, utilizing CRM tool (Salesforce) to document interactions and opportunities.
- Drive business growth through proactive identification of new sales opportunities and solutions to client challenges.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers across all levels of client organizations.
- Deliver exceptional post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Expansion and Intelligence
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the internal marketing team to develop impactful campaigns and strategies.
- Stay informed about competitive products and industry developments to maintain a leading edge.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote their LED solutions.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by leveraging in-depth knowledge of cannabis cultivaton practices and the benefits of energy-efficient LED lighting.
- Partner with internal teams, including R&D and technical support, to deliver customized solutions that align with client goals.
- Support the future growth of the Team, by helping with hiring, training and/or managing team members across North America.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in a senior sales or business development role, preferably within the cannabis, horticulture, agriculture, or lighting sectors.
- Deep understanding of horticultural & cannabis cultivation practices and the role of LED lighting in optimizing plant growth and agricultural efficiency.
- Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and navigate complex sales cycles.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Adaptability to evolving market conditions and client needs.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients, explore new markets, and attend industry events. International travel required.
